Passage to India: Wheel of life

Wheel of life,
1992
Ilfochrome print - Ed. 3 + 2AP
Mounted face in 0,6 cm (1/4") Plexiglas
152,4 x 101,6 cm (60 x 40")
This image was shot in Benares, the city also known as Varanasi on the banks of the holy river Ganges. Notice how the sleeves of the figure’s clothing lie on his legs. One tends to forget that these sculptures are actually made of stone.
